Soda Stereo was born in 1982 as a heir band of new waves and influences as "The Police" and Television. It is considered the most important and influential Iberoamerican band. The band was made up of Gustavo Adrián Cerati Clark, Héctor "Zeta" Bosio and Charly Alberti. Gustavo Cerati played the guitar and leaded vocals, Zeta Bosio in bass and chorus and Charly Alberti in percussion At the beggining, Gustavo and Zeta established a friendship and began to play in differents bands, after they met Charly and created the band "Los Estereotipos" later called "Soda Stereo". The first album of Soda Stereo was called “Soda Stereo”. After, various albums came “Nada Personal”, “Signos”, “Doble Vida”, inter alia. In 1986, the conquest of Latin America came, they played in Costa Rica, Colombia, Peru and Chile. In Chile, Soda played in the Viña del Mar International Song Festival, reaching great success. In 1997, Soda officially announced their separation for internal problems and finished with a concert called “El último concierto”, a tour in different countries of Latin America. The reunification of Soda was in 2007, with a grand international tour. Unfortunatedly, Gustavo Cerati suffered a coma in 2010 that still affects him.
